On this blog I have been posting news and pictures about ARUR President Fred Oden’s recent trip to Brasil and his meetings with ARUR affiliate Brasil Asset Management (see post July 16th). As you may have read, Brasil Asset Management’s plans for a corporate facility are awaiting final approval from the governing authority. We can now announce that Public Notification of approval of these plans is scheduled for the first week of August 2010. Upon approval, a tentative date will be set for ground-breaking ceremonies.

On his recent trip to Brasil, ARUR President Fred Oden (left) met with Robert Guzman (center), President of Invy Energy Group and Felipe Park (right), President of Samsung Electro-Mechanics-Brasil. The initial meeting (arranged by Brasil Asset Management) discussed the locating of a manufacturing facility for Invy Energy in Goiania, Goias Brasil. Invy Energy markets and distributes a new power factoring unit which substantially increases the efficiency of the use of electric current. The increased efficiency from the unit will save energy by reducing electric power usage in both residential and commercial applications.

Brazil Capital Market Activity Up 54.6% In 1st Half - Anbima

SAO PAULO -(Dow Jones)- Brazilian debt and share issuance rose 54.6% in the first half of 2010, as local companies returned to raise money in the capital market, the Brazilian Association of Financial and Capital Market Institutions, or Anbima, said Tuesday.

Total capital-market activity in the January-June period, including both share and debt offers, rose to 49.23 billion Brazilian reals ($28 billion), from BRL31.85 billion in the same period of 2009.

In the year-earlier period, Brazilian debt and stock issuance were affected by the global financial crisis, which restricted capital-market activity.

The volume of debt issues totaled BRL34.85 billion in the first half of 2010, while equity issues amounted to BRL14.38 billion.

In 2009, Brazilian debt and share issuance was BRL110.3 billion, up from BRL102.3 billion in 2008.

Recently ARUR President Fred Oden (pictured on the right) accompanied Brasil Asset Management President James Rowton (left) to Anapolis, Goias, Brasil to visit the site of its future administrative and manufacturing facility. BAM received title to 21 hectares of commercial property located in the duty free zone, DAIA, of Anapolis Goias, Br. Plans for the new facility are being presented for final approval. BAM executives expect to begin construction on the new facility within the next twelve months.

American Resource and Technologies, Inc. Acquires Working Interest in 5 Wells in Montgomery County, Kansas

Jun. 9, 2010 (Business Wire) -- American Resource and Technologies, Inc. (OTC: ARUR) reports the acquisition of the remaining 75% working interest in 5 wells in Montgomery County, Kansas, for a total ownership of 100% working interest. These wells were drilled in 2006 and were in production until 2008 when they were shut-in due to the decline in oil prices. These wells will be included in a rework package which involves more than 40 wells on leases in Montgomery and Chautaugua counties. Assessments are currently being made of the surface and downhole equipment in preparation for the application of new enhancement procedures.

ARUR initiates multi-well recompletion project in SE Kansas and

signs long term consulting contracts in South America.

Dallas, Texas. American Resource Technologies, Inc. (Pinksheets: ARUR) ARUR, Kansas
operator, has started preparing existing wells for recompletion using new proven fracturing
procedures similar to those used in the Barnett and Haynesville Shale to enhance production

More Results from the Linn Lease

This is a picture of another one of the old wells on the Linn Lease. As the Operator attempted to open the well for logging, it shot oil 6 feet into the air for about 30 seconds. The picture is from the oil still running out as the cap is re-tightened. This is by no means an indication of how much oil the well will produce, but it does look promising.
